Sports Minister tasks NFF to appoint coach with reputation, pedigree to lead Super Eagles


Says it’s imperative to hire coach with knowledge of African football

The Honourable Minister for Sports Development, Senator John Owan Enoh, has issued a call for the Nigerian Football Federation (NFF) to employ a coach who has pedigree and a track record of success to lead the Super Eagles. Emphasizing the importance of having a coach with a reputable history in African football, Senator Enoh highlighted the need for a coach who understands the unique dynamics of the continent’s football landscape.

In a statement, Senator Enoh said “the Super Eagles needs a coach with pedigree and a track record of achievements. We need someone who can propel us towards winning the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) and ensure our qualification for the 2026 World Cup.”
